Children have been showing off their creative skills on their return to school after the summer holidays, by creating an impressive showcase of design and technology projects.

Over the last week, classrooms and corridors at Park Road Community Primary School have become hubs of creativity, as children threw themselves into a wide variety of hands-on activities designed to spark imagination and build practical skills.

From crafting intricate pop-up books to tailoring waistcoats, the pupils have demonstrated both artistic flair and technical ability. As part of the week children have made colourful hand puppets and constructed moving vehicles!

Headteacher Kathryn Quigley said: “The creativity on display has been wonderful. It’s been a joy to see the children so engaged in their learning and starting the term with such enthusiasm - exactly how we mean to go on.”

What a great start to the year!
